A big thank you to all that contributed to my dilema. The solution was checking the side stand with an ohm meter, and low and behold. A little contact cleaner later and all was well, but no start. So I checked all of the connections and the culprit was in the run/off switch, cobwebs. A common thing for things that sit here in Florida. I put about 65 miles on the bike today, Ive been away from bikes for about 12 years, and took a chance with this 87 savage, purchasing it in a not running state. But it runs strong now, and I have many more miles planned. Again thanks to all that helped me. Bruce
